to a couple of posters below, you have to pick one from each of the above, thought it was obvious

im not asking which is the best comparison, uve to pick one player from each comparison

Warney just shades Murali , though it is a close call. Interesting to see if they had been born with each others nationality.
Brain Lara I think wins hands down . Has done the lot and broken records for fun.
Brett Lee, can make runs as well and really wears his heart on his sleeve.
Steve Fleming , Ponts skippers a side full of world class players, and does it well but Steven Fleming gets more out of less capable players.

1.Murali- Most players find it difficult to face him more than Warne., he has better statistics, his actions and reactions are great to watch!

The black caps play in the right spirit, and they never get over excited, have the right attitude towards other teams and, they have improved alot under his captaincy, that shows that New Zealand has a great Captain.

1) Although statistically Murali is the better bowler (bowling averages at test and ODI), I would have to go with Warne. One of Wisden's 5 cricketers of the century, and a bigger turner of the ball than Murali, has taken more wickets, and who knows how many he would have had if he wasn't banned for that period.

2) Lara may hold the highest test innings score, but on both occasions, he put himself before his country and caused a drawn test. Personally, I know it was a big effort but scoring a lot of runs on a flat pitch against a poor englang bowling attack doesn't signify a quality batsman. Tendulkar has a much better technique.

3) Lee is a far better player than Bond, and wins it if only for his participation in the 2005 ashes series

4) Simply on captaincy, I would have to go wth Fleming, as he has far weaker resources to call on. Also, I have never seen Fleming throw a wobbly like Ponting did after being run out by Gary Pratt in the Ashes 2005!

I would say sachin vs lara but you cant compare lara to sachin. now that sachin has proven how good he is he is only capable of being compared with a donkey. Bond vs lee or Murali vs Warne is the best comparison. Do not compare the mighty Aussie skipper to an imaginative Kiwi skipper. They both are good in their own strategies. Why not try Ponting vs S Waugh
