You can go on birth control. If you take it constantly, (i.e. not taking the sugar pills, or not taking a week off from the patch) you can stop it. It basically makes your body think you are pregnant, and stops the menstrual bleeding and ovulation cycle, and cramping. Talk to your doctor. They may want your period to get regular before they start messing with it. Please take my advice on this, stay away from the depo shot. It will eventually stop your period, but has horrible side effects.

sorry but you can't "stop your period" unless you do what the first answerer said.

sorry but that is female life, I'm 33, have had it for 22 years, hate having my period, but gotta deal with it.

sorry you cant. that's it now for life. but when your older you can take the birth control pill straight through the month for a break from your period if your on holiday or special occasions. sorry couldn't be more help.

Some contraception methods may stop your period for the time you are using them. Dep needle or implanon.
