USA is unfit on so many levels.
It is not even a bona fide country. it is a business, more like a worldwide syndicate of thugs and organized crimes. It is a for profit enterprise set up to cheat and steal, voila "capitalist pigs".

Started as a business and its lifelines are malls to this day...consumerism and the real American Dream is to buy and consume...to use more and more than one needs to justify a crazy economy of overproduction and insane excess.

The USA is a world power. The worthiness issue will be a debatable issue as long as the USA maintains a role of leadership. Any entity that makes a statement is subject to scrutiny. Whether I or anyone thinks the USA is "worthy" is moot. To say it is a world power is definitive.

Hmm... interesting question. Being from the U.S., I've never thought that we ever sought power; however, given that WWII happened, it was pretty much thrust upon us. Of course, we could have simply sat there and let Hitler annihilate Europe while we developed nuclear power, and then blown away whoever we needed to when the fighting was over. I suppose that's what we WOULD have done if we wanted power. I think France and the UK would have made great parking lots... maybe Iran and Iraq, too.

It's kind of a silly question, now, isn't it? We had the resources, and we did have to defend ourselves against Japan; think how well prepared we'd have been if we had simply let Europe fall to Hitler, and concentrated our efforts on ship-building for our own sakes. By the time he got through decimating Europe, it wouldn't have been too tough to deal with him. But we didn't do that; we helped, and a lot of good men and women from the U.S. died in the process, so I think the question of whether the U.S. is "worthy" is moot. We were the only ones who COULD do anything; anything else is academic.

"worthy"? I would love to see the metrics that would make this a quantitative question.
Any power will operate in its own interest. There are no benevolent powers, to pretend otherwise is to fall prey to blind patriotism, or an attempt to confuse others of the truth.
The US is as worthy as an power.

Yes. Unfortunately we are following the same precepts as the Roman Empire. They were a world poser, until the liberals took over, and started practicing hedonism.

It doesn't matter the USA is and Superiority is always detested. Worthy or not it is what it is.
