I am as well... why don't you ask from your Mom or sisters or aunties or girl friends? if they give you a myriad of answers, go ask your doctor

Ask on here, no one knows you. If you think people could find out who you are create a fake account and ask. I assure you though, whatever is going on with you, your doc has seen before, or learned about. You are better off getting the best advice from the best source. If it helps, joke about it a little bit. I know it sounds silly but it may make you feel more comfortable. Or, go to a different doctor. Maybe switch from a man to a woman, or whatever.

Depends on what kind of stuff. You really should try to find a doctor that you could come to know and trust. They deal with health issues every day, so whatever you ask them, I'm sure they have been asked before. You could also research your issue on the internet. WEB MD has a lot of useful info.

+Oh, my dear Njarr, you are NOT alone and, while women have a greater tendency (statistically) to go to a doctor when something's "wrong," the discomfort about "asking stuff" of our doctors seemed to affect both sexes equally.
+As a former nurse (currently, a Healer), it's HEARTbreaking to meet someone with a problem that, had it been caught earlier, would be a BREEZE to cure but, having delayed getting treatment (or "asking stuff" ), they seek help "too late," leading to either a more rigorous type of treatment, permanent damage &/or a chronic condition &/or, even death.
+My suggestion is to write the things down you want to discuss with your doctor BEFORE your appointment and bring (I suggest index cards) them with you to the appointment.
+Reading her/him your questions will allow you to put yourself in the mindset of a "third person" being in the exam room w/ you (pretend you're asking for a friend, if necessary). You might even want to tell the receptionist (over the phone when you make your appt) about your problem & ask HER to tell your doctor you have some (long-standing) questions you've been wanting to ask but keep "chickening out."
+If your doc sees you come in, papers in hand, s/he's more likely to ask about them & you'll be more likely to follow thru.
+To echo what the others have said here, doctors, nurses & others in the Healing Arts HAVE heard it all &, the longer s/he's been in practice, the more likely s/he is to "see a piece of meat" when examining a patient. (Not the nicest of ways to say it, but true. They do so in "self-defense," ie to remain uninvolved emotionally.)
+Take a deep breath, set your mind to it and just BLURT OUT those questions. (Y'might want to start it out by saying, "Doctor, I feel real uncomfortable about asking things about my body but...")
+If you have a doc worth her/his "salt," s/he'll encourage you to "get it all out." If not, find another doc. Patients and Doctors are PARTNERS in their health. The days of "Doctors as Gods" are long gone--thank Heavens!.
+May you always be "Healthy, Wealthy & Wise,"

Well if you're too embarassed to ask your doctor "stuff" and you go ask the guy who works the grocery counter who do you think is going to give you a more credible answer?

You shouldn't be embarrassed to talk to your Dr. about anything. He has probably heard it all and won't be shocked. Explain your situation that you have some questions that might embarrass you and he will more than likely set your mind to rest.

u need to 1) get over yourself or 2) get a different doctor. doctors have seen everything under the sun so it's not big deal to them when they hear about a rash on someone's privates.
