before you say johnny depp...i'd like to clarify that i'm asking about the classic good looks here, not their appeal to you. i'm also asking about who is the total package here, so that includes looks, height, acting ability, and star quality.
personally, i have no idea why everyone keeps saying johnny is hotter...he looks pretty girly to me because of his thin neck. i mean, brad is taller AND buffer. sure, johnny depp has that whole eccentric, bad boy thing going but he is pretty short and kind of whimsical.

Even considering that "good looking" is purely subjective, I would still have to say Johnny Depp. Pitt is handsome, for sure, but add up Johnny Depp's soulful brown eyes, high cheekbones, elegant nose, kissable lips, and that breathtaking jawline, and there is no contest. Johnny Depp is 5'10", which is not short (and Brad Pitt isn't taller, I don't think), his acting is way better than Brad's (consider his range), and everyone who has ever had an encounter with Johnny Depp talks about his incredible charisma. Yes, I'm quite certain that Johnny Depp takes the prize, using any criteria.

Brad Pitt is the more handsomer and classic looking of the 2. Brad Pitt has those All American Classic good looks. Brad is taller and more buffer.
As for acting ability now i will have to go with Johnny Depp. Johnny has shown more acting range and versality in his films than Brad Pitt has. Johnny has done some better films than Brad. The only films that ive Liked that Brad Pitt have done was Thelma and Louise and Mr. and Mrs. Smith. I like Johnny Deeps films more better.

sorry, but Johhny is DEFINEITELY better looking than Brad Pitt. Brad Pitt is ugly. Not that what they look like really matters, but it's a nice bonus ... hehe
as far as "total package", Johnny is definitely the best actor out there right now. He can play ANYTHING and be totally believable. can Brad Pitt do that? I don't think so. Imagine someone else creating an iconic role like Jack Sparrow....

I am a firm believer in the smouldering rugged good looking bloke. Definitely Johnny Deep for all of those qualites. Brad he is a flash in the pan pretty boy. (Brad Who? will be the question in 10 years time. But Johnny Deep will be remembered along with the Infamous James Dean.

I am sure that Johnny is much better than brad pitt because I feel he can fit into any given role like in chocolate factory and pirates of the Caribbean both these roles are totally different and i guess brad can't do that

JOHNNY DEPP - he is classic. he can look great without trying to look great, unlike Brad. Johnny has sex appeal in his worst looking roles. Brad may be buff, but Johnny is still much better.

Definitely Johnny Depp. He has been around a long time and I think that he has staying power, PLUS he does not look his age. He looks younger.
