In situations to incite rioting there can be subversive action taken to stop it, but this is the only thing I can think of. I just take what I need and leave the rest. It's common sense.

Freedom of speech is being severely limited as time moves on so there will not be more freedom but less as we go along so the point is a non starter.

human beings don't comprehend the loose speech ensures of the form. Sigh. Hate speech and lies are thoroughly risk-free and interior all of us's ideal to decide for. only because of the fact some thing is Constitutional does not mean there are not any repercussions, even with the undeniable fact that. If somebody needs to assert lots of hateful issues approximately black human beings, you will extra powerful have self assurance they gained't be doing it in Harlem, even even with the undeniable fact that their hate speech may well be ok Constitutionally. the 1st replace shouldn't get replaced.

READ THIS IF YOU TRULY WANT TO KNOW WHO HAS FREEDOM OF SPEACH IN AMERICA
How many are actually paying attention to this?
YOU PASS ME ON THE STREET AND SNEER IN MY DIRECTION--
YOU CALL ME "WHITE BOY," "CRACKER," "HONKEY," "CAVEMAN," "WHITEY,"
AND THAT'S OK----
But when I call you, ******, Kike, Towel head, Sand-******, Camel Jockey, Beaner, ****, or Chink ... You call me a racist.
You say that whites commit a lot of violence against you,
So why are the ghettos the most dangerous places to live?
You have the United Negro College Fund.
You have Martin Luther King Day.
You have Black History Month.
You have Cesar Chavez Day.
There are African Americans, Mexican Americans,
Asian Americans, Arab Americans, Native Americans, etc.
And then there are just Americans.
You Have Yom Hashoah
You have Ma'uled Al-Nabi
You have the NAACP.
You have BET.
If we had WET (White Entertainment Television) . We'd be racists.
If we had a White Pride Day ..
You would call us racists.
If we had White History Month
We'd be racists.
If we had any organization for only whites
to "advance" OUR lives ..
We'd be racists.
We have a Hispanic Chamber of Commerce,
a Black Chamber of Commerce,
And then we just have the
plain Chamber of Commerce.
Wonder who pays for that?
If we had a college fund that only gave
white students scholarships
.... You know we'd be racists.
There are over 60 openly proclaimed
Black Colleges in the US ,
Yet if there were "White colleges" ..
THAT would be a racist college.
In the Million Man March,
you believed that you were marching
For your race and rights.
If we marched for our race and rights,
You would call us racists.
You are proud to be black, brown, yellow and orange, and you're Not afraid to announce it.
But when we announce our white pride ..
You call us racists.
You rob us, carjack us, and shoot at us.
But, when a white police officer
Shoots a black gang member
or beats up a black drug-dealer running
From the law and posing a threat to society .
You call him a racist.
I am proud.
But, you call me a racist.
Why is it that only whites
can be racists?

Freedom of speech is a good thing but not if it is to preach hate.
We all have issues however, I once lost my temper because I was trying to tune my guitar and I couldn't, so singers and fellow artists can annoy me.
I do the same back, however, I put U2 on by mistake this morning, I thought the CD was Tori Amos (I couldn't find Madonna) I didn't realise until I was in the bathroom and I don't think I'm ever going to hear the end of it.
Then I lost my keys but I'm sure the world doesn't want to hear my problems.

depending on your constitution, your might have total freedom of speech. looking at the good ol' us of a, freedom of speech is in the constitution, but the effects of your words, spoken or written, must not in any way violate the rights of others, in the sense of their right to not feel racially or culturally oppressed.
malaysia is classified as an Islamic Regime, and as such, freedom of speech is really an afterthought.

If i understand well you are against freedom of speech or you are afraid of people with different ideas. Well let me tell you something. If you do not allow people to express inside a democracy their ideas, even if they are racist or fascistic then you are the racist or the fascist. Once Voltair i think said" i might disagree with you but i am willing to die so that you will be free to say your opinion". This is the magic of democracy if you disagree with someone try to convince him that he is wrong, a magic that is totally lost nowadays.

Never. Freedom of speech is very important and no matter what it should be protected. The key to the other problem is education. Educated people are usually not racist or sexist.
Take a moment and think about the Patriot Act. I never want Americans to give away their rights like that again.

I heard someone on TV yesterday say that the best remedy for bad speech is more speech not banishing the bad speech.
The racist is allowed to speak and show everyone what an idiot they are.
Others are allowed to voice their disagreement with his racist speach. The people offended are allowed to talk and state how that speech hurts them or how it doesn't. We are allowed to talk to our children and explain how our words can hurt other people.
Shutting people up not only doesn't work, but it doesn't accomplish as much as letting people speak.

Freedom of speech is not absolute, there are legitimate limits to it. You cannot, for example, slander or defame your neighbor, commit fraud, or endanger public safety through use of your speech or expression (example: inciting people to riot or commit crime, etc.)
This differs from people who are merely expressing an opinion though..... If I publicly say, for example, that I don't like you, and say why, that's just my opinion of you, and I haven't broken any law by expressing that, and I haven't deprived you of your rights in any way by my expression of my opinion. You may not like it, and maybe your feelings might be hurt even, but still it's my right to say it. In this regard, no there is no such thing as "too much free speech", even though someone may find it offensive. Merely offending someone isn't against the law (or shouldn't be anyway) and doesn't deprive anyone of their rights, IMO. Free speech isn't always pretty - some of it has always been offensive to someone somewhere - it's the price we pay for living in a truly free society. When we get to a point where no one can even express an opinion for fear of offending someone, then we have arrived at fascism.

I don't believe there will be , because we no longer live in a country were freedom of speech exists it has been taken away from us by the politically correct.
You are now deemed as racists or have abuse levelled at you if you voice concerns over your country's future by fellow country men, this was unheard of years ago and stifles the ideal of free speech. Sad but true :)
