i am going away for a holiday how can you stop you monthly cycle for the time you are away

You would need to continuously take birth control pills (skipping the placebos). Most doctors approve of doing this as long as you allow yourself to have 4 periods a year. Talk to you gyno about it.

I'm sorry, you can't, unless you are stressed which stops periods naturally. I had this problem while I was on holiday.. I was away for 1 wk and the swimming pool was only open 5 days a week.. my period came on the monday and lasted 6 days!! I was GUTTED. But hunnie life is like that and just remember every woman is going through that too

The only way to do that is with the birth control pill but I would recommend talking to your dr first to see what they think.

I think birth control pills can stop it if you continue to take them through that time.

if you are on the pill or any other sort of birthcontrol... just continue to take it during what would normally be your "off" week and you will skip your period... its not recommended however that you do this very often... as it can lead to breakthrough bleeding and other symptoms.

ask your doctor to prescribe a birth control pill to stop your period. Also there may be better methods these days...

Start taking a progestin only pill and take it without breaks... ot get the contraceptive injection

If you are on the pill when its time to take the sugar (the ones you take while you have your period) don't take them,keep taking the other other ones and you wont get a period
