My Hyosung has been sitting for about six weeks. It had some trouble starting up. Finally got it going though.

Seafoam is best for cleaning the carbs. MMO in the gas, is just an upper cylinder lub, and Sta-bil, is just that, used to stabilize the gas if it sets long.

All the above are good; I like Sea Foam, myself.

If you're going to take the carbs off (or at least drop the float bowls), then consider lacquer thinner, but don't get it on the paint. Use a brush on all the jets and the body, inside and out. Next step would be to remove and disassemble the carbs, and do a proper cleaning and checking of the float heights, etc.

I've heard a lot of good stuff about Seafoam.
B-12 Chemtool works well. NAPA carries Seafoam. B-12 is at most auto parts stores. You may want to start getting your gas at a different station. 6 weeks? That's fast for gas to go bad, even with the newer formulas.

SeaFoam wont cause problems to any plasic parts in the fuel system. Everyone I know uses it, and strongly recommend NOT using Sta-Bil for a motorcycle.
You can also use the SeaFoam in you lawnmower thru the winter and it'll start easier come grass cutting time.

A screwdriver. You need to take them off to do any kind of job, and then plain ol Gumout will do the trick. Six weeks is no time at all for gas to sit. You can't blame the starting problem on that.
