Midol Menstrual Complete is the best thing since sliced bread for periods. It relieves all the symptoms. I usually take two then lie down with some tea and a heating pad until they kick in.

Try and get Cura-Heat, it's a heat pad which you use on your stomach. It can work upto 8 hrs.
Once you have one, walk outside for about 30 mins at least. You may not feel like it but it really helps.
Then, when you get home, take the cura-heat off and have a warm/slightly hot, soapy bath and use calming soaps such as aloe vera and relax..
Then come out the bath when you're ready and have a hot water bottle on your stomach [or cura-heat] and a mug of hot chocolate..
add marshmellows into the hot chocolate if you prefer..
Then, when you're ready to go to bed, put your pyjamas on a hot radiator, have another bath, then
when you come out the bath your pyjamas will be warm so you'll be warm and cosy in bed :)
also keep the hot water bottle on your stomach in bed if the pain is still there!!

=) Hope I helped!!

Periods are no fun! Try having a hot shower to loosen up your muscles to start with. Then, depending on how bad you are feeling, either take a walk or lie down. Exercise can often help pain associated with periods. If you are feeling too bad to exercise, lie down with a hot water bottle at your back. You may want to lie on your side and curl your legs up, or lie on your back and bring your knees to your chest for a stretch. There is also a muscle called psoas that can get very tight when you get your period. You can stretch it by doing lunges. A myotherapist, masseur, chiropractor or osteopath could also work on this muscle for you which may help to relieve period pain in the future. Take care!

Panadine or something similar that has a muscle relaxant in it will aid.
Hot shower, heat pack.
Often exercise and sit ups help when the pain is at its worse.
I do belly dancing and doing exercises such as hip circles definately help when the pain is bad.
Drinks lots of water.

You can try something like Tylenol or some of the other products like Midol if your mom says it's ok.

If these cramps are seriously affecting your ability to function then you need to see the dr to help you to try and figure out what the problem might be.
