I can recommend a good site for advice:

the Lonely Planet Thorntree, which is the worlds largest independant travellers forum.

The link is below.

Plus I put a link to the LP World Guide on Morroco

Hope that helps

Philip

While you are there, be sure to go to some hamans. They are public bathhouses. I liked Marrakesh and the old city of Fez was nice too. Travel over the mountains to the dessert. You can take an over night camel trip.

Be wary of people trying to sell you things. It is fun to go to markets and bargain. But, the people who pray on tourists with fake tours and take you to rug shops are not very nice. If an English speaking man jumps in the taxi to "share" a ride with you, beware. It is just a scam. They may take you somewhere that you do not want to go.

All in all, I liked Morocco. Lots of outdoors places to see and experience. Most people were very friendly and great hosts. There were, however, a lot of tourists and travelers that did not like the place because of the people that hassle them.

Morocco is amazing, i never been to a place alike, there is a lot things to see and many places to go, just don't miss the desert ( in Merzouga) the Altas, the sunny beaches on the ocean coast.
