I was driving home one late evening down a Country lane (we live in a small village). I caught a barn owl in my head lights, wings full span open gliding through the air from one side of the lane to the other (thick trees on either side, then fields). It was amazing i don't know if i was scared but it was a really wonderful sight to get the pleasure of seeing.

I don't know what kind it was, but I had one with about a six foot wing span fly up in front of the car one night as I was driving into Rochester, MN. Then another time I was on a cliff in Washington state and this big one came flying at me. Both times I was kind of spooked.
