Double standard for sure. Obama was quick to say he wouldn't appear on the Imus show even though Imus apologized and does more for black children than Sharpton or Jackson, yet he never spoke out about the white students that the black girl falsely accused. Is this what we can expect if he is president? They march in the streets against Imus, but where is the outrage over the border guards being put in prison for doing their jobs? American tax payers are stretched to the limit paying for illegals. Where is the outrage over that? Why wouldn't anyone listen to the complaints against the filth on our air ways before?
He doesn't deserve to be terminated but he must cleanup his act.

No, it was indeed Imus who made the nappy headed ho's statement. Imagine losing everything you've worked for in the blink of an eye. But unfortunately was a way for his enemies to bring him down and the so called hip hop crowd will continue on as before.

Great Question!
Looks like it will be the testing ground for liberal tolerance. If they let some other race get away with a comment close to Imus' and do nothing. They will have lost the '08 election before the battle has even begun. This will be a most interesting run for presidency.

there's a pair of variations... first of all, Imus develop into conversing over the regular public airwaves, that have a lots stricter coverage under the FCC. you're able to be able to declare that a guy or woman can exchange the station in the event that they do no longer desire to take heed to it, yet that's beside the element. you does no longer have had to alter it until eventually after Imus had already opened his fat mouth. Secondly, Imus lives by his words. it rather is the assumption in the back of being a radio talk-tutor character. you apart from mght comprehend that in case you circulate the line, that somebody will come and fantastic you or get youy canned. anybody in radio knows this, and with very few exceptions, maximum folk abide by the guidelines. each and every so often they could get somewhat on the element of the lie and each so often circulate it by risk, yet permit's settle for it... calling a woman's college activities group a 'bunch of nappy-headed hos' is nowhere on the element of the line. that's blatantly racist. For the guy above who says that 'hos' isn't blatantly racist, i could agree... in spite of the undeniable fact that it adjustments once you p.c. to place nappy-headed in front of it... calling somebody a monkey isn't unavoidably racist the two, yet once you place nappy-headed in front of it, i think of you compromise it adjustments the tone. and you get to fireside Kanye and Ludacris any time you p.c. to no longer purchase their albums... you won't have the ability to declare the comparable for radio personalities... Imus may well be sorry for what he did, and that i'm uncertain he ought to be fired, in spite of the undeniable fact that i could have not have been given any difficulty in the event that they did. He DOES deserve a suspension nonetheless. perchance next time, he will save this journey in suggestions whilst he comes to a decision to open his racist mouth.

No, I do not believe Imus deserved to be terminated. Imus apologized. I just want to know why it's so selective in who is singled out for their speech.
