I'm British by the way.
The average Joe in the US is not responsible for what G. W Bush does, just the same as we can do nothing when Blair puts his foot in his mouth so why when an American asks a question here (regardless of topic) someone always mentions Bush!! and is pretty negative to our allies across the pond.

Rose I, I agree with you and wonder about it myself.

Too much criticism these days.

If we were united we would have the power to finish this Iraq situation and get back to life as it use to be.

Too many, speak before they think.

Too many refuse to see both sides of an issue.

They are not the majority. They stand out appearing to everyone that they are the majority but they are the minority.

I'm American and I thank God for the United Kingdom, our most faithful ally.

I support My President, George Bush and I support Prime Minister Tony Blair.

Thank you for the opportunity to answer your question.

Fair play, Blair is even stupider than Bush.

The problem is that too many of the Americans who come on here reveal themselves to be naive, self-centred, bigoted fools.

I know that they do not represent the whole of the US ... I have several American friends who are none of the above.

On the other hand, you do have to question why the average American are not more vocally opposed to Bush, who blatantly cheated his way into office TWICE.

However, I am not in the US, neither are you; I have no idea whether my friends are typical of an average American, or whether some of the lunatics who post on here are.

"allies across the pond" ... rofl - where did you pick up that phrase?

I don't understand why this happens, not every yank thinks Bush is doing a good job and I have been to the states several times and find it OK. Sometimes they slate us a bit, often about the state of our armed forces in fact most of the time they are correct. Our army has been left in tatters due to under funding, soldiers lives are at risk to save money which is wrong. The yanks are OK

Well the actions of our government (especially our president) affects the entire nation, sometimes the world. Sometimes these actions cause great devastation within our own nation. So that's why Bush comes up A LOT!

Because so many on here lack the intelligences to run for office. Most have been brainwashed with Liberalism and have become complacent. They watch the news and can't develop their own opinions... They are trying to seek out some kind of answer to something they truly don't even understand. Most here have no post-secondary education or at best go to/graduated from a pro-left institution... Liberalism is slowly eroding the minds of America.

It is because they take themselves so seriously.

It is so easy to get a rise out of an American just by mentioning Bush. They make it so difficult to resist.

Europeans tend to think they're better than us. Every time I go to Europe and go out to dinner with people I get tons of questions about American politics and our government's debt and all that stuff. I always kindly answer that theres not much room for them to critiscize when our soldiers are buried in their ground.

It's normal for people to discuss 'bad' compared to 'good'. A rape case get people interested compared to someone getting married.. A murder is a better topic for discussion compared to birth of a child..

Get my message???
