The fact that many files that are downloaded might contain worms and viruses etc, how sure is one that even by downloading what might be on ProfileSnitch dot com,doesn't also have the bugs you are trying to elimate in the first place.

Ask your friends to see if any unusual bulletins have been posted under your name. Also change your password and this usually stops any.
