your mind is a manifestation of a higher dimentional manifold. Your mind is not 3 nor 4 dimentional. Your conciousness is not only in your body, its imprintied on higher dimentions. When you die, this memory remains, your conciousness merges with a conciousness of everything--even a rock for examp, has conciousness...whip a rock in your hand and feel its inertia....you are feeling its properties...its texture, its inertia...its essence...this manifestation is a conciousness...similar, you can 'sense' more than your limited conciousness if you were connected to the world....when you understand something so thoroughly (heinlen's 'grokking') that you become part of what you undestand, you are one with what you understand as its part of you. When someone understands something in the same way as you do, and you both realize it, you become one....when you empathize and open the door for an old lady, yes you do it to look like a nice guy..but you empathize...you simulate what it is to be her unconciously (or can rather), and you become her, you both become one as you recognize this...and this is why you do it, in opening the door, you are really helping...yourself.because psychologically and unconciously you are her.....good is not only good to make yourself feel good, you do it because you empathize...you act as a receptor to the greater 'conciousness' of 'greater universal' brain, and you realize that the real happiness is acheived by giving...in taking you take from yourself...a psychological mirror, if you give, you give yourself....this is all....you can call 'God' the greater conciousness...by which your higher dimentional conciousness merges....but its really understanding, a greater understanding which enhances and makes your being grow, if you do not give, you atrophy in growth as human being, you become an image, you are bankrupt because you only dealt with superficialities...a misunderstanding on your part on how to acheive happiness or grow..superficialities only make you as empty handed as before, they don't make you feel your humanity, your 'soul' your conciousness....hence, you cannot merge when you die...when you give, you grow, and you become rich inside, and you can merge because you become more than machine or animal, you become human

This is simply understanding. In this way, the real afterlife is like what in buddhism is described as 'nirvana'...morality is simply a consequence of the greater consciousness and the only way to flow and grow. Any other ways are paths that do not let you grow, only leave you with images in life, which lead to sadness and frustration, which lead to anger and later unhappiness because of dissapointment...of a need for depth...

when you die, you carry this naturaly evolved state of growth with you.

With merging with the conciousness...this is why you are one...and why jesus said he was god, because he understood the greater conciousness...so he was 'god' but he wasn't because he was also 'man'....jesus was simply a wise man who did a courageous act to show you a meaning of the conciousness...when you gain greater understanding you merge closer to this oneness....This oneness is God, and is why jesus says god is everywhere and we are all God...

he was ;ater misunderstood and some wrote the typographic text of bible and authoritized the message with the authoritity of the catholic church...the misunderstandings of millenia and the ignorance of man, leading to distorted picture of God and morality...thinking science is against God or morality..leading to a world of fanatics and delusional people...who blindly say the name of 'god' and deny a basic fact of the Universe of evolution....who deny understanding, the very thing that God is based on....in order to defend their sensibilities due to their lack of understanding...due to their fear, because of this lack of understanding. Doubt is the true understanding.. because God is too great to understand by a human mind...hence to claim understanding, is to claim arrogance in the ways of God.....only by trying to understand, do you acheive some understanding....besides, why else would 'god' have given you such faculties? to claim complete understanding is false, and thus, hindering growth.

it is to try to undersand, not fully, but to grow enough to later merge....

no, there is no life after you die, but your conciousness 'lives' on....your understanding grows beyond what can be understood typographically or by what is bounded inherently by your question.

all the church, the bad....it is all just misunderstanding...psychological or clear, unconcious or concious...although it can have clearly distasteful and viscerally undesirabvle visible effects, which can be curbed practically in the human world with checks and balances and a firm grip...for its impossible to dissiminate the knowledge to all equally...some will fall astray, this is not entirely their fault....(this includes very hard christians)

my advice: go to nature and think, ponder, do not deride this or other's efforts and not care about anything....and don't incessantly read a book blindly..simply ponder, and grow, and be understandable to others...and this will make you truelly a great character and conciousness, for you will be controlling yourself...and seeing that such things are unnecessary...as you understand.

Well that is the million dollar question isn't it. Everyone wants to think there is some kind of afterlife but it is not something we can prove beyond a doubt.

Prettymuch all religions base their ideas on the notion of heaven / afterlife / re-incarnation or some such version of the life after death theory. In religion you just have to BELIEVE without proof (thats what faith is all about isnt it)...

I think it would be wise, regardless of whether you believe in afterlife or not, to spend your time here on earth as best you can and not waste it, just in case this really is your one and only chance. Don't procrastinate... Live life now, don't ever regret that you have not done something that was important to you.

Yes there is a life after we die, and aside from by belief in God, I have also seen it on more than one occasion and felt it. I don't like it much, but it seems to be a gift that runs in my Sicilian family--the seeing and knowing of things. In one respect it is a comfort. In another respect it is a real annoyance, because even if you sense something, there is nothing you can do to change it---I think it just happens randomly to prepare us for what lies ahead. Sometimes it is scarey. But the truth is I have been visited by relatives (not on the Sicilian side) who come to me after they die, before I am even told they are dead. I am therefore quite convinced we move on to another state--I just accept it now when things happen or I know things, but I think most of the guys on TV are phoney, because everyone in my family wants to keep this gift quiet--and we don't talk about it we just know we have it--and the only ones we mention it to are others who have it---because it sort of makes you think that because you knew something in advance or see someone that maybe you caused the thing to happen, and then you think you are crazy. So rest assured, lfe after death is real--we all move on--so live a good life until then. It is the next great adventure, but it does separate you from this life and that is sad and can be lonely--oh yes, what do they say when they visit? Mostly they just say good-bye and I love you. It is quite strange. They float and just say their good byes and sometimes (the first time) I screamed--but now I just listen--they speak with their minds, by the way--but you do see them, and they do float and they appear they want you to see them, and sometimes they just do things, like turn off your computer if you write something they don't like--my late father does that to me sometimes. I just go with the flow now. You probably think I am crazy, but this is very true. Anyway, I do know good people are freed from pain, and that time is different on the other side, so while we miss them--they don;t have time to iss us because the separation to them is just like an instant. They can move in and out of wherever they are and visit. Yes. It is weird.

I do believe in reincarnation as does most of the earth's peoples, and am even gonna start going back through past life regressions soon in order to know myself more fully. Find a belief you're happy with and nuture it. Peace.

Doesn't matter what you beleive in. Truth is truth. A bagel is a bagel.
The bible bashers have it all wrong by the way. All allusions to hell fire and second death and so forth are a metaphor for destruction and rotting of body. There is no consciousness after you die, thankfully. You can start all over in a new body.

Its all right here :

Unless we clear all our debts to the world, we will not be able to escape re-birth. It may take several lives to get rid of your dues. Secondly you should become absolutely empty to be filled by the SELF realization.

Depends in what you believe in my friend. I'm agnostic so I have no idea. We could be worm food, go to heaven and see our family again, be ressurected into a tree, or die with 72 virgins. Its all in your faith man.
