Since Pakistan was not the holders of World Cup the question of their loosing the world cup does not arise.
While they were hoping to win the world cup, their performance in the group stage was pathetic as they lost the first match against West Indies and subsequently to the nue comer Ireland and hence knocked out from the world cup.
