Just think of it like a fraction...

553 mm Hg = (533mm Hg)/1

Since mm Hg is on the top, it must cross cancel with the denominator.
(533mm Hg)/1 x 1atm / 760 mm Hg

So, the mm Hg cancel eachother out and you multiply the rest just like any fraction. You get...
(533 x 1 atm)/ (1 x 760mm Hg) = 530atm/760

Hope this Helps!
