what do you think of this trade?

someone offered me this trade:
i get- adrian gonzalez and jj putz
i give- david wright

i didnt like the looks of this cuz i dont need RP help or 1b help. so i countered with this trade
i get- nick markakis and chuck james
i give- melvin mora

so what do yall think. which of these is the better trade for me?? thanks!

Dont give up Wright, especially since you are already set at the positions he offered. Your counteroffer is excellent, Mora isnt a great fantasy option in the first place (.284, 16 HR & 83 RBI...not exactly a fantasy stud). Markakis is a star in the making and James is underrated and should win 13-15 games with a mid 3 ERA (3.60-3.80) and a solid Whip. Plus he delivered 91 Ks in 119 innings which while not great is still better than 65-70% of starters (K's per inning pitched). Hopefully the Mora for Markakis/James deal goes through for you, you will have gotten 2 very good players for 1 average player!

I wouldn't take either of them actually, although if you do I think the first one is better. Adrian Gonzalez is a baller and will probly be pushing 100 RBIs this season. Putz has some game, but hasn't played a lot yet this season, so who knows if he will later or not. David Wright will definitely have 100 RBIs this season though, so giving him up might not be a great move. Nick Markakis sucks though, and Chuck James is young and still proving himself. He might be good or he may totally suck. Mora is mediocre too though, so it's not a BAD trade, but it wouldn't help you. You'd basically be no better or worse off than you are now.

wekk first off, you can always put wright or mora at utuility if you have a utility spot. But i think that trading away melvin mora for chuck james and nick marakis is a pretty good trade. if you reallt think that you dont need mora since u have wright. but chuck james is doing good, even though he wasnt supposed to be agreat pitcher this year. last year he finished like 13-4 with an era eround 3. thats pretty food. and nick markakis is doing good right now, and he was alrerady expected to have a pretty good year, so i dont think he will be one of those players that starts out insane but stinks later. So i think you could go for this trade if you wanted to (depedning on what outfielders and starting pitchers you already have) but not accepting it wouldnt be crazy of u to do. i think this a good trade for both of you.

I would go stick to the counter-trade proposal you offered. I would not give up Wright for Gonzalez and Putz. Adrian Gonzalez is a good player, but his numbers will be limited because his home park is Petco. If you do not need help at 1B and RP, hit decline.

First trade is garbage, A gonz is nowhere near the caliber fantasy player that david wright is, and as you said you dont need rp help, so good that you rejected that one. Your trade however i suppose is good for you, but what do you have as a backup for 3b? Markakis is going to be big this year for OF, so its good to have him as your primary OF or even 2nd or 3rd.....but to be honest, i've never heard of chuck james.
