I see the whole problem of society is laziness.
Too much free time to squaler away with idiotic comments and drinking/drugs.

We have a lot of "Free" time on our hands to gab on the web about issues. I can't blame anybody for comments. At least they are trying. (I am sure I will get slammed for that.)

I am lazy. I am not one to set the example. The only thing I can do is to give advice.

My grandmother carried an 80lb bag of fertilizer to feed flowers. She would do more than what men of earlier age would do. (I feel like crap for that.)
She was religious, but not in that sense.
Never made a derogatory.
Heck, she would even like a devil worshipper, as long as they were nice people.
She would wake up at 5:00am to make 7:00 mass in weather that would give shutters to most people.

Never had a bad comment about anybody, unless you really desrved it. And you felt like crap if she ever did.

It is easy to be lazy. Much harder to actually try to do something.

She never parked in handicapped spot even when she was.

She would always send a card even though others never sent one.

She always kept busy with sewing and cooking, tending her flowers.

She never said a bad word about anyone.

She kept busy with church drives, donations, donating her time for charity, etc.

There is no one who would ever say anything even derogatory to her in any way.

She was always the first to get up and take care of what needed to be done.
i.e. getting up when somebody needed something at the dinner table.

You can poke fun at me.
I will never hope to acheive that level.
You can say all you want using this internet.

If I ever catch you saying that to my face.
God help you.

your grandmother sounds like a wonderful person! more people need some of her skills and abilities

while some people seem to naturally be energetic, kind, hardworking,,,, others simply are not

that doesnt mean that we cant work to develop skills for living,,,, and living an active , well life,,,,,,, i would suggest taking it in steps,,,,,, each day trying to be helpful,,, find something creative to do,,,,,, or even just the small things of life that are necessary.
you create your life,,, it is what you make of it,,,,,, it sounds like she created a very nice, fullfilling one
it is really true, that the more you do, the more you are able to do,,,,,, as in, if you must go shopping once a week,,,, you might dread it,,,,,, but then if you have to go every day, you adjust,,,,, once your up and active every day doing that, you can add in a trip to the drugstore some days,,, then add in something else, after all, your busy anyway!

We have a right towards laziness, as all animals do, for it dictates capacity for happiness and the existence of contentment, and thus the prevailence of survival for the species/individual. And, check my source for a further explanation.

Why would you say that you could never attain that level? Everyone has unlimited potential. I think your grandmother would be disappointed to hear you giving up on yourself like that.
