i am trying to send a video to one of my friends over msn or yahoo messenger. it is taking a very long time to transfer from my computer to hers. is there a way that i can down-size my video, but not cutting anything out, so the sending process will be faster?

Divx will help cut down the size. The best I have seen is to save the file with the "rmvb" extension. It makes the file size very small and is very clear. You should be able to get some rmvb converter to convert your video file to rmvb

Hi,
I feel this is the best option to you...
Try this method.
1. Zip ur file using Winizp or Winrar program if u dont have
get one from www.winzip.com or www.winrar.com
2.Go to www.rapidshare.com
3. Click "Browse" and choose ur file and then click "Upload".
4. Wait till ur file gets uploaded, after the file upload completes just scroll down to end of the page and click on " I don't want a collector's account right now.
5. Now, you will get "Your Download-Link #1:" & Your Delete-Link #1:
6. Pass the Download-Link#1 to the user, after that he / she confirm that they have downloaded the file successfully, just use the Delete Link#1 to delete ur file from server.
I hope this methods helps everones who are looking to upload & download the larger files in Internet.

I've found using the divx codec gets the file size a lot smaller, but the other person has to have the codec as well.
