"Amen" is originally from Hebrew, and means truly or surely. It has nothing to do with men at all. "Man" originally meant human, person, but about 1000A.D. it began to mean adult male. The term "mankind" means all humans, not just men. Before 766A.D. they came up with a new term: wife human. The way they said it? Wif-man. That's where the word woman comes from, in case you're wondering.
