personally i love Star Trek: Voyager. it is a romantic story, in its self: a lost ship, struggling to get home dispite the odds.
plus, there's the romance between Tom and B'elanna. Plus, Captain Janeway is a great charactor. the perfect leader, and fighting force behind Voyager's survival.

DEEP SPACE NINE.
DS9 didnt pick up until the episode "Past Tense." After that it became huge success. Deep space nine had all of the elements of great storytelling: religion, politics, war, peace, resistance, and character development. Not every story was well written, but the last three seasons rocked. Stories about DS9 continue in novels.
Voyager
It takes a few weeks to cross from the edge of the Alpha Quadrant to the edge of the Beta Quadrant. Why did it take years to leave Kazon space?
Janeway's character was a know-it-all overcommanding person. Didnt matter if it was male or female, the portrayal was terrible.
Getting More Viewers- bring in highly attractive female, give her three skin-tight outfits (silver, blue, red), and have her in awkward situations.
Getting Even More Viewers- bring in highly advanced, highly dangerous foe as a reoccurring nemsis each week: the Borg. How many ships were destroyed by one Borg cube at Wolf 359? How many ships were destroyed at Sector 001 in First Contact? How many times did the Voyager escape from the Borg? No really.
Lose Viewers- sing opera and other songs each week.
Lose More Viewers- Janeway's holodeck adventures.
Lose the Most Respect- ENTERPRISE's entire run and finale
Word on Voyager? No slated novels on the horizon through 2008. Last novel was 28FEB06, over a year ago.
Another word of Voyager? Price gouging. DVD boxsets are selling for $50 and complete boxsets should be $350. Stores still sell them up to $75 and complete boxsets for $500.

Voyager, of course, I could never really get into Deep Space 9. Janeway's creepy voice is the only thing I dont like about voyager.

I believe it was the last season when they had a crossover, Voyager had stopped at DS9 and they went through the wormhole and got caught. It was at the same time, however, DS9 ended and Voyager kept going for 7 years. It is all a continuous time line.

Voyager! DS9 was too much of a soap opera.
I liked Janeway as the Captain. Seven was fun too. Her character really developed over the years.

Voyager..it's just the way they were able to make first contact in an unknown area. DS9 was ok but it got old after awhile it really didn't explore other areas of space.

Voyager. It is an original storyline with the closest resemblence to the original series story--to seek out new life and new civilizations. DS9 was too stationary.

Voyager. It seemed to have more of a story arch to it.
