Is there any question that the movement of slugs is termed "crawling"?

They definitely don't slither?

They move via the use of cilia and aided by their mucous.

I've always said that they ooze...

It's just such a great word, and when do you really get a chance to use it? And it fits, so why not?

Snakes slither, but I won't call snail movement crawling. They are moving along on their foot, afterall, and crawling suggests movement on one's belly.
