i got back from vacation to find that my hamster had wet tail! my mom was keeping an eye on her while i was gone but she showerd symptoms the day i got back. i quickly got medicine for her, she has last a lot of weight in only a few days and it looks like she is going to make it through the wet tail, tomorrow morning it will be 48 hours since she showed symptoms. how can i help her gain back her weight, im really worried about her.
ANY ADVICE WOULD BE VERY HELPFUL!

If she is feeling better, she will gain weigh soon enough. You might give her some cooked rice, rice cereal, or other rice food,maybe some raw apple, to soothe her insides for a couple of days. Maybe some cheese too. These foods are helpful for diarrhea, and cheese is high in calories so it could help her gain weight faster. Give her a little salt and see if she craves it; she may need electrolytes, and she will eat the salt if she does. But give her a balanced diet and let her choose what to eat.

The easiest way to help your hamster gain weight again is to feed her fatty foods.... the best ones are sunflower seeds... and bird seed (you can use a mix of budgie and parakeet). Make sure she has lots of water so she doesn't dehydrate as well.
I hope things work out for you with your hamster and that the wet tail disappears and her weight returns to normal.

try giving her more food, but be prepared if she dosn't make it, mine went to the v et and didn't make it.
