My favorite band of all time is My Chemical Romance. some of their music is slower, but if you don't like being depressed because of the slow songs, then I guess they wouldn't work too well.
Anyway, I like Margot and the Nuclear So-and-So's, the Garden State Soundtrack (puts me to sleep every time), Avril Lavigne, Porcupine Tree, pretty much any other alternative rock.
