i was just wondering..
can mice remember who you are?
like, can they remember you by your smell or anything like that?
do they get easier to handle and less scared the more you hold them?

This is a easy answer as a mouse owner I would know I had mice all my life until just recently.Yes your mouse can remember who you are by the way you smell as in the soap you bathe in or the perfume you wear,it can also remember you from the way you hold your mouse and care for it .I recently lost a mouse to cancer and decided I would have space for a little while because I cared for her so much, even though she was so tiny.
Just show you care the more you hold your mouse and give it treats when you hold it, they will get more use to you and in return will show you compassion.

Hope this helps you.

Yes, they learn who you are. They can tell by scent and voice and probably appearance. Pet store mice are easy to tame. I can tame the wildest pet store mouse (one that is totally unsocialized) in 20-30 minutes, because they have a tame temperament. You just have to handle them. If the mouse bites (some do) just be careful. Before long a mouse should be quite comfortable being handled.
Once they are used to being handled, they will let anybody handle them.
You can't really tame a wild mouse, though. You may persuade one to take food from you through the cage bars, or let you rub their nose, but that's about it. They are instinctively afraid of being handled, even if they live in a cage and are used to seeing you all the time.
