1) bend , it is better for your knees, bended legs are like the dampers of a train, they absorb shock

2) the kinetic energy is divided ever a longer period of time, this absorbs the energy better, its like a damper of a train, they absorb shock

3) to absorb the shock, when they hit something.

a) from airborne school: land with legs together, knees slightly bent, body arched a bit into a curve and upon touching (this is a euphemism the instructors use for hitting rather hard) the ground, fall sideways while rolling across your side and spine. All this is to lessen the force of impact on joints like ankles and knees. Spread out the force of impact overall and it will not be very great at one particular point.
b) pretty much relativity. Ball flies through air at say 50mph and hits stationary object, it will impact with greater force than hitting at a slower speed. If you move the catching object relative to the ball, it lowers the balls relative speed to the object--in this case the fielder's hand.
c) combination of both a), spread out the force of impact so it will be less concentrated in one point and b) lessen the relative speed between the two objects that are about to impact with each other.

a) Bending as this helps to avoid shock to the upper extremities and limits back and core injuries.
b) Same as above plus the backward motion helps to absorb some of the shock as the hands are not moving forward or remaining static.
c) The beating from cars jostling each other when slowing, stopping or being hooked up necessitates bumpers on not only the front and back but also both cars.

I don't know if you did this intentionally or not, but basically the principles and answers for each question is the same as the other ones.
