OK I have a project that Im doing in school. I want to do a newspaper effect. I would like this effect to be on my poster board I bought. And currently Im a little stumped since my creative side of me isnt my strength. So any suggestions from creative mothers or creative people in general. Much thanks in advance.

You can begin by using a decoupage medium to adhere an actual newspaper to a poster board, or other art paper. You can paint over that, somewhat transparently, by mixing a little more water with acrylic paints than you would for an opaque effect. Experiment on other paper until you get the effect you want, or like the effect you get! I'm trying to guess what else you want, since you didn't say what you wanted beyond a newspaper effect. If you need more help, just ask another question. I try to be online almost everyday.

In newspaper printing, when the roll of newspaper almost runs ot on the press, it is replaced by a full roll. The one left over usually has alot of paper on it.

At most newspapers that Core roll or some newspapers call them butt roll, can be bought or in some cases donated by the paper.

Those cores of paper are wide enough that you can roll off some, lay it flat, use some spray adhesive and then lay your poster board on it. Trim the edges and now you have a posterboard that is a huge pice of newprint.

Just an idea.

Get some spray adhesive( it comes in a can like spray paint)--spray it on some nice card board-or posterboard--stick some cool looking newspaper to it----then stick some tissue paper over it( let dry) so you will be able to work on the surface allowing the newspaper to show from behind-- but most importantly show off your stuff--i hope this helps--If not well ILOVE YOU
