Those who would have the audacity to say such a thing are idiots. No woman deserves to be raped, for any reason.
I worked in law enforcement for 23 years, and have dealt with many rape victims, and rapists themselves. None of it is a pretty picture. And those people who would make such claims have obviously never dealt with a rape situation, and have no right to spout off such absurd statements.
Rape is a crime of violence and control over a woman. It's nasty business, and it takes a long, long time for the woman to get over it, if she ever does. No woman deserves to have that happen to them. And my sympathy goes out to those who have been victimized by these dirtbags!

For the same reason people say that if you walk through a dangerous neighborhood late at night that you are 'asking to be robbed'. In reality, it could happen anywhere, at any time. I think people like to fool themselves that they have some sort of control over things which cannot really be controlled. It's like creating a false sense of security if you think wearing a baggy sweater is going to keep you safe as apposed to a low cut shirt. I do know that I get sexually harassed more when wearing a short skirt than when I'm wearing baggy pants. But I know that it ultimately doesn't matter. I could be raped at any time, regardless of what I'm wearing. Truthfully, I've had men be more aggressive with me when I've worn 'skimpy' outfits.
They seem to think I'm trying to get their attention and they get angry/confused when I tell them to leave me alone. That's when I get called a 'tease' and had more men sexually assault me out of what seems to be anger and frustration because they were 'turned down'. It's unfair but I suppose that's why people say that some women are 'asking for it' when they wear certain clothes. When I leave my house all dressed up, I know to prepare myself for extra harassment. It's just the way it is and it totally sucks.

Yeah, but you have to understand that rapist look for easy targets and so that depends on the hour that you are out and the close that you have on, so the less clothes you have on the easier it is for someone to rape you. Which is why some people get the preception that some girls are looking to get raped, which I personally disagree with because who is anyone to blame the innocent victim.

So if a boy scout newborn wears those litlle boys shorts, does your buddy then imagine that if he receives raped by technique of a boys scout draw close/chief that it then replaced into the lads fault? Its astounding to me how those human beings-and its no longer in basic terms adult adult males yet its some women persons too-say that a lady in this problem who receives raped it really is her fault, yet for a baby they could experience disgust if someone blamed the newborn or the childs mom for dressing him that way. for sure both are incorrect. Its consistently the rapists fault.until eventually by technique of a few substitute he had a psychological ailment or impluse administration project then it will be suggested to be the ailments fault. notwithstanding it really is in no way the guy who receives raped fault-ever. it will be suggested that it really is unkind for a lady to face there and "gyrate" in a gstring in the front of a guy like this, yet she nevertheless doesnt deserve rape. the guy could walk away or call the police.

because people are ignorant. and because MEN claim that women "ask for it".
rape is violence. the vast majority of rapists are male. claiming that women are asking to be raped is a way to justify acts of violence. in a sexist/misogenistic culture such as ours - myths like this get around. NO WOMAN wants to be raped. period. in the same way that most sane people don't want to be robbed, stabbed, shot, murdered, abused, tortured... the list is endless.
violence against women is all too common - from calling women "nappy headed ho's" to sexual harassment, to men that attempt to control their girlfriends and wives to rape.
only the stupid and derranged hold the view that women ask to be raped by the clothing they choose to wear. i personally think that convicted rapists should be castrated and serve life sentences behind bars in solitary confinement. thats just me.

No, they believe the girl asked for sex and had second thoughts afterward and decided to cry rape.
This is not the same as "asking for rape."
Though it is rare, it unfortunately does happen that women (and men) will lie about being raped.

No one asks to be robbed either, but if you flash a big roll of bills late at night in a crime infested area you have made yourself a target. Such things don't excuse the robber or the rapist, but the victims may not have experinced what they did if they hadn't put themselves in that situation.
