Is our justice system in the best interest of working with us in support of that or working against our most vunerable?

What do you propose as a solution to sexual predators? Should predators be locked up indefinitely? Should they be executed? Should they be evaluated, treated, and released? From everything I've seen, predators themselves indicate that they can't be cured so why are we using this option? How about a great big tattoo on their forehead? What do we do for those who haven't been caught yet? I understand that most predators aren't caught on their first offense so how do we find them? Do we give up some amount of privacy to solve the problem? I don't have anything to hide but I'm still not a fan of giving up my right to privacy.

Now what responsibilities do the parents have to protect their kids? We can't put all the responsibility solely on the legal system. Can we educate our children better to protect themselves? Can we learn the signs to help our children if they become the victim or if they are becoming a victim?

What rights do predators have? Should they have them all stripped away upon conviction? Is being a sexual predator a choice, disorder, or a disease? If not a choice, can a person truly be condemned for a disorder? What other disorders require removal of rights?

As for what to do to protect children, it is going to take more than just the legal system to handle this. They are certainly a part of the solution and it probably needs some fixing but don't forget that we as parents also have responsibilities for keeping our children safe.

Heidi - I'm not sure that castration necessarily solves the problem. I'm guessing that not all sexual predators require functioning organs on their person to effectively mess up a child's life. Look at "kiddie porn" where they are probably just getting excited watching, not doing. Castration could be part of the solution (sort of like dogs personalities are affected by neutering them) but I'm thinking a mandatory therapy and mind altering drug treatment will also be required.

I think for sure there is a serious problem. I live only one street away from a sex offender. His house is directly behind mine. I have a 5yr old little girl. I am afraid to let her play outside, even with me. I think this has gone too far. Why do the prisons keep letting them out to become repeat offenders? I think they should be locked up for life w/out the possibility of parole, or executed if they have killed before. I am a fan of the CrimeLibrary.com wbsite and they tell the stories about sex offenders. It makes me sick that we have to live with these monsters. I was molested by an uncle when I was a little girl, he went to prison for only 2 yrs! He took away my innocence, but he got away with it. He is living with a woman who has 3 young girls now. The other day she said her youngest has been acting strange lately. I worry for her babies that He has started molesting them. The authorities won't do anything without the child's testimony. In other words they turn their backs because the girl is afraid to say anything. What is wrong with our system that a bank robber gets more time in prison than a child killer? Is money really more important to society than a child's innocence and life??????? Ask yourself that!!!!! I apologize for just taking up all this space without really answering your question, I just get so mad at the system. Hope you are not upset with me for such a long answer.

Don't blame it on any individual however the wrongdoer. And that stated, everybody is blameless till demonstrated responsible in a court docket of regulation. The court docket procedure is installed as a authorized procedure now not an ethical procedure. Either manner, if the man or woman is responsible, a few one will punish him. Unfortunately, stuff like this occurs day-to-day on the planet. What are you able to do? You already paid awareness and are considering it. Educate youngsters at an early age is step one.( Good contact/Bad contact) It is a in poor health international normally.

SEXUAL PREDATORS CANNOT BE REHABILITATED.

We need a 'one strike and you're out' system. The death penalty is the only way to remove this cancer from our society.
