1964, and at the risk of sounding like an old fogie, those were the days, things were simpler then, not that there wasn't any danger, but not nearly like things are now. There weren't any video games or computers, so when you had free time you went outside and hung with friends and went to the beach. I really feel sorry for kids now, mine included, they just don't have the same joy for living, they stay cooped up in the house, playing video games, on the computer, or watching TV, and they are not as healthy or happy. If I could go back and change something, it would be not to indulge this lifestyle with my kids, or to have put restrictions on the amount of time that they were allowed to spend inside, at the time, I thought that it was a good thing, at least they were home and safe, and because they liked it, I thought it made them happy, but in the long run, looking back, I wish I had done things differently.
