Well, that's just what the expression means. That doesn't necessarily mean that ALL four letter words are bad. For instance: the word 'four', just because it has four letters in it that doesn't mean that it's bad. Whereas, f*u*c*k and s*h*i*t are both four letter words. Which is why they came up with the expression 'Love is a four letter word.' meaning that love is over rated. WOW!! I never knew that I would ever sound so smart!! I guess that goes to show that even the most stupid people can be smart sometimes...

No...I think if you mean cuss words....I have to say...how are they bad? Are they made up or what..if not in the dictionary how can it be a word or have a real definition to begin with?
Most other so called cuss words...such as bastard...azz...*****..are in the dictionary with real meanings can someone please explain how then they are bad...is it not all in how a person sees it??? I love this topic...it is really a good one. What made f--k a word???? It is used in more ways than any other word..yet it is not a word???
Loved when George Carlin use to address this issue in his comedy routine....he is a genius! Also some are less than 4 letters and some are more...

You mean like "Four" and "word"? No, they are not bad. "Bad" is a three letter word. "Evil" is a four letter word, and so is "love". So is "Andy", not that that's relevant, especially since it's short for "Andrew", which has lotsa letters, or six.
