(x-3)(x-5) ok now use FOIL to solve this part of the equation first u get x^2-5x-3x+15 simplifies to x^2-8x+15 then multiply that by (x-a). . . . .(x^2-8x+15)(x-a) then multiply it out x^3-8x^2+15x-ax^2+8ax-15a. . . . .thats your answer. . . . . . .. . . . . . . . x^3-ax^2-8x^2+8ax+15x-15a

(x^2-5x-3x+15)(x-a)
x^3-ax^2-8x+8xa+15x-15a
x^3-ax^2+7x+8xa-15a

seriously it can go no further..unless u would factorize it and it would come back out to give you the first statement given
