For an AMD (I am a die hard AMD fan for gaming rigs) based platform what is the most reliable, over clockable, AM2 (preferably), motherboard with the most options available now. I would like it to be good for future processor updates and vista compliant. I have searched newegg but they dont post the max processor speed. thankx

That would easily be this one:http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131593
It is AM2, and it is ASUS which of course means reliability. ASUS of course also are good for overclocking, and this happens to be their AM2 board with the most options. The reason newegg doesn't post max processor speed is because any board that supports Athlon 64 X2 will support the fastest Athlon 64 X2, which would be the fastest currently available. Motherboards have nothing to do with Vista compliancy, though some manufacturers like to make money by selling you special "Vista" motherboards. As for future upgrades, it is as future upgradeable as any AMD board out.

Now very quickly, the Core 2 Duos are faster at the moment, and in your case far far more overclockable. I have to say that, you can make your own decision on what you want.

If you want more info on anything, feel free to email me.
