Year after year Republican groups, such as the Heritage Foundation, spend millions of dollars to convince the population that they are powerless and there is no point in voting. We have reached the point where less than half of us vote, and of those that do, few bother to study the issues. It is all too frequent on Yahoo that someone will say all politicians are corrupt, and therefore there is no point in voting. They are mouthing the very words Republicans want to hear, as they are greatly outnumbered in the general population, so if many Dem's don't vote, they will win.
There was no better example of what upsets you than the preposterous Bush story of sending $12 billion in cash, in plastic bags, to downtown Baghdad, only to "disappear." Yet no ones head rolled for this? What scandal would provoke the public, or the Congress to act?
Our only hope is to be informed and vote en masse to force those is power to listen or be thrown out instantly.
Impeachment of the present Bunch at the White House would set a good precedent.

Why is it every generation thinks corruption in politics is something new? Good God man, wherever there has been government there has been corruption. From the entire royal history of England and France to the governments of Nero and Caesar and Cleopatra. The current US government is no more or no less corrupt than any government that has been in power since the inception of the country. We aren't clueless. When we vote, we do it with both eyes open knowing that we are choosing either the less corrupt candidate or the one whose corruption will benefit us the most. That's the way we are here, free to elect our own style of corruption! How do you select the corrupt of your government?

Many people have written America off before and they've always been wrong.
Bush and the republicans aren't the only problem...nor is corruption in government just an American problem. For more information, consult the United Nations.
God bless America

To be honest I'm not sure why ANYONE can still go for Bush, personally I can't stand the man nor anything he tends to come up with. Alot of people are starting to wake up and realize he's full of it and that most of the things he comes up with are things he will benefit from. Well I guess the best we can do now is hope that the next president can do alot better and make sure that we arent screwed!

have you for any time ever thought that bush isn't the only president that the public have ever had a problem with? Wake up, not everyone is ever going to be happy with the way the country is run. Feel fortunante that you have the right to express such an opinion without being imprisoned.

We know but it just takes a long slow process to get the truth revealed and Karl Rove doesn't help it when he deletes email that is needed for the investigation "by accident", yeah sure.
The Republican lie machine runs deep.

What are you smokin'? The Dems control both chambers and will control all 3 levels on Jan 20th/09.
One point though, the thugs and liars(all repubs included) - W. and all, should be criminally charged when they leave office.

Isn't it amazing that Karl Roves emails are all missing too in the height of this new Congress administrations governing. Who happen to be trying to get to the bottom of all this mess that the old Congress helped create.
