3 songs is my lifes experiences:
Solitude by Edwin Mccain
Timmy was a good friend
Yeah he was a brother of mine
Nothing there coming but soupy roads
Kids wasting time
We were prisoners of our youth
We were growing up strong
Till that day he was taking away
For something he did wrong
Ohh alright
And he said thank you mom
For fixing my clouded broken mind
Excuse me if I seem a little rude
Woooaahhhh
Well I was missing my childhood
My brother and my prime
You enjoy the convience of my solitude
Of my solitude
Tim came around just the other day
Boy he had some stories to tell
And his momma kept him locked up in rehab
Although the doctors said he was well
He said yea I been through the anger
And the hatred towards my mom
I put all that behind me
Just tell me what it was like to go to your prom
And he said thank you mom
For fixing my clouded broken mind
Excuse me if I seem a little rude
Wooaahh
Well I was missing my childhood
My brother and my prime
You enjoy the convience of my solitude
Of my solitude
Well growing up these days just ain't easy
No well these kids are doing the best they can
So mother you better think twice
Before you lock your kid up
And throw away the key
Soon your little boy's gonna be a man
Woooaaahhh
And he said thank you mom
For fixing my clouded broken mind
Excuse me if I seem a little rude
Wooaahh
Well I was missing my childhood
My brother and my prime
You enjoy the convience of my solitude
Of my solitude
Tim left town just yesterday
And he left me these words
He said yeah I know this life’s got a lot to give
Ohh but my childhood is gone and I'm not afraid to die
Well I grabbed real whole lotta hope that I’d live
And he said thank you mom
For fixing my clouded broken mind
Excuse me if I seem a little rude
Well I was missing my childhood
My brother and my prime
You enjoy the convience of my solitude
24 months of solitude
I didn’t ask you for the solitude
I can’t forgive u for this solitude
3 A.M by Edwin Mccain
It's 3:00 AM
I'm awake and my heart is still dreaming
It's 3:00 AM
Outside I hear the souls still screaming
It's been so long you know since my head's been this clear
Just like a ship lost in the night
I just don't know which way I should steer
But I'll keep chasing my dreams
And only you can make them real
I pour my heart out every night
But do you know the way that I feel
Sometimes this is work
And don't you know sometimes this is play
Sometimes you are listening to me
And sometimes you don't hear a damn word that I say
Sometimes there's a girl
Sometimes I go home alone
And I guess it's no wonder right now
That I do very well on my own
But I'll keep chasing my dreams
And only you can make them real
I pour my heart out every night
But do you know the way that I feel
And I will play just as long as you will listen
Now I'm in no big hurry to get back on the road
Sometimes in this lifestyle
I feel like there's so much that I'm missing
Well I'm missing you
It's just that I'm...so far from home
It's 3:00 AM
I'm awake and my heart is still dreaming
It's 3:00 AM
Outside I hear the souls still screaming
Sara Evans feat. Keith Urban
Thats the beat of a heart
Sometimes it's hard to don't wanna look over your shoulder
'Cause you don't want to remember where you've been
There'll come a time you die,
If you could only hold her
'Cause I know that's where I am
So listen with all your heart
Hold it inside forever
You may find all your dreams have already come true
Look inside and find the part that's leading you
'Cause that's the beat of a heart
Sometimes you'll drown it out with all your rage and thunder
Sometimes you'll drown it out with all your tears
There'll come a time when you hear it and you'll wonder
"Where in the world have I been?"
So listen with all your heart
Hold it inside forever
You may find all your dreams have already come true
Look inside and find the part that's leading you,
'Cause that's the beat of a heart
No one can tell you how to get there
It's a road you take all by yourself
(All by yourself)
All by yourself
So listen with all your heart
Hold it inside forever
You may find all your dreams have already come true
Look inside and find the part that's leading you
'Cause that's the beat of
Oh it's the sweetest sound,
'Cause that's the beat of a heart

When ever I am having a really bad day I come home and listen to Livin on a Prayer by Bon Jovi. There is just something about that song that makes even the worst day a little brighter. I also have found some meaning and depth in U2's Sometimes you can't make it on your own.

It's a Christian song.
Everything that I own is but a loan
I've made up my mind to share
My time, my music, my heart, my love and care
And everything else I have I'll share
I'm going to share it everywhere.
Though I confess to so many things
And there are many around me
That I know I can bring joy to
And when I give I will receive
I believe that inside of everyone
There is a heart that cares
Together we will build a better world
And start it right now
If we would dare.
That's how I try to live my life.

"Move On" by Abba, although I don't listen to it that often.
They say a restless body
Can hide a peacefull soul
A voyager and a settler
They both have a distant goal
If I explore the heavens
Or if I search inside
Well, it really doesn't matter
As long as I can tell myself
I've always tried
Like a roller in the ocean
Life a motion, move on
Like a wind that's always blowin'
Life is flowing, move on
Like the sunrise in the morning
Life is dawning, move on
How I treasure every minute
Being part of it, being in it
With the urge to move on
I've travelled every country
I've travelled in my mind
It seems we're on a journey
A trip through space and time
And somewhere lies the answer
To all the questions why
What really makes the difference
Between all dead and living things
The will to stay alive
Like a roller in the ocean
Life a motion, move on
Like a wind that's always blowin'
Life is flowing, move on
Like the sunrise in the morning
Life is dawning, move on
How I treasure every minute
Being part of it, being in it
With the urge to move on
The morning breeze that ripples
The surface of the see
The crying of the seagulls
That hover over me
I see it and I hear it
But how can I explain
The wonder of the moment
To be alive, to feel the sun
That follows every rain
Like a roller in the ocean
Life a motion, move on
Like a wind that's always blowin'
Life is flowing, move on
Like the sunrise in the morning
Life is dawning, move on
How I treasure every minute
Being part of it, being in it
With the urge to move on
Like a wind that's always blowin'
Life is flowing, move on
Like the sunrise in the morning
Life is dawning, move on
How I treasure every minute
Being part of it, being in it
With the urge to move on
Like a wind that's always blowin'
Life is flowing, move on
To me it represents the 'ups and downs' of life.
