That tends to be the idea. But you should look at the terms/stipulations of the Scholarship.

you have to read the fine print/conditions of your scholarship. Usually it says you must be in school as a full time student, and it may indicate that you need to minor in music maybe, or just take a music class as an elective. or it may be you can major in anything and it's ok. Talk to the people who set up the scholarship, or the admissions folks where you are attending college/financial aid office. Don't wait on this and I hope you can find the answer. Aren't you in school now taking music? Ask a counselor or the careers/preparing for college counseling center they probably know the answer, or can help find the right answer.

I think they expect you will major in music but I don't think you're required to. Better check and find out more details!
