BINGO! It's the same reason you'll never see a MISS WHITE AMERICA or a WHITE POLICE OFFICER'S ASSOCIATION (local cops tried to form one and got slamed down by the NAACP, ACLU and local city council) or a WHITE COLLEGE FUND or a WHITE HISTORY MONTH. But there is MISS BLACK AMERICA, BLACK LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS ASSOC (in Washington, D.C.) and ***** COLLEGE FUND. Just this past week, Suffolk, VA city council refused to allow the celebration of CIVIL WAR HISTORY MONTH, yet the schools and government have BLACK HISTORY MONTH.
I think Al Shaprton needs to be more concerned why black men call their wives/girl friends the terrible names they do.
When non-white comics make fun of whites, it's comedy. When a white comedian makes fun of non-whites..woops. can't do that. Not politically correct and it's racist.
Three of the most outspoken non-white racists in America are: JESSIE JACKSON, AL SHARPTON and LOUIS FARRAKHAN.
Now watch, someone is going to call me an ignorant, redneck bigoted racist.
I and 3 of my retired Navy co-workers were called old rednecks, over and over by our truck driver. Then one day he came in and I was reading at lunch time. He asked me if that was a REDNECK BOOK. I said, it's a book you 'colored boys' wouldn't understand. He complained to our supervisor. I said that REDNECK is offensive to me. Since REDNECK is a term for an UNEDUCATED, SOUTHERN WHITE MALE, I am neither UNEDUCATED nor SOUTHERN. The truck driver was told to quit calling the 4 of us (3 of us are from: Michigan, and New York) red necks. (Only one is from Arkansas. )

Yes, you can probably call it a double standard...then again,
think about it, the people who are held to a higher standard
apparently are perceived to have "higher standards". Think of it that way and it's easier to accept.

This is also called a little bit of "pay back time." We, meaning white Americans, don't have a particularly good track record with minorities of ANY kind in this country.

So now it's "our" turn to see what it's been like on the other side.

Not fun, is it?

You buy a cd and listen to it. You choose to listen to the radio and what goes over the FCC is monitored. Thats why a lot of derogotory (I think I butchered that one!) words are blanked out. I agree though they should be held accountable. not all rappers hoot and holler but the mainstream ones mainly do.
