I have a navy pant suit for a job interview on Monday, and I have a pair of navy shoes for the outfit. But I have no idea as far as a purse is concerned. I'm worried that a navy purse would be too matchy, but it still needs to look professional since it is a job interview. The suit is dark navy, with navy shoes and a light blue shirt under the blazer. Any ideas?

it depends on the job you are applying for.

if it's artsy (graphic desinger, etc) then go with something bold to show your fashion flare. maybe a purple bag or something that accents, but doesn't match

if it's a man dominated jon (like engineering) then i wouldn't carry a purse. I'm an engineer and i have never taken a purse to an interview (nor have i seen on a canidate) Just leave your stuff in your car and slip your car door key into your pocket

otherwise, i would go with something tasteful, but appropraite. I agree that with all the navy blue, a matching purse would be too much. Avoid black. Black and blue look like bruises. Go with a tan or brown purse to be nutural.

what is the interview for?

if its office black or white purse - or a dark brown may go better than black
if its for retail you may want a white or navy purse with a print on it ( nothing to wild )
preferably do not carry a clutch it is more for you to hold

i have also heard that carrying a purse in an interview is not well liked by some people - if you are taking a brief case also consider putting your purse in your brief case -

either black or white, white will go nice because the shirt under the blazer is a light blue but since it seems you need to look really professional black looks sufisticated good luck hope you get the job

first i favor to assert thanks for introducing me to those red pumps!! heavily I actually were searching for a pair like that i'm no longer frequently a wager type of female yet those rock! i'd lose the camisole close the blouse except for the right few and bypass with diverse colour bag turquoise or an amethyst bag ought to seem much better functional than yellow.. have relaxing!! :o) please word i'm no longer antagonistic to the idea of having a stand out colour and that i don't think of you need to bypass matchy matchy both.. in spite of the indisputable fact that the yellow bag ought to in reality damage your outfit so ought to an open blouse with a red cami below.. for my section..

Wear a red bag that's practical not too slouchy or too gaudy. Just go kinda simple that will hold neccesities. Besides if there is something it won't carry, they have breifcases for extra things.

I would suggest white because it is so classy and business-like. It will clean up your look and I suggest you get a medium sized purse.

You should bring a small black clutch. It's tiny enough that it won't be taking up space in the office where you will be interviewing. I say a black clutch. lol

Well, black matches with everything, but perhaps a white/any other color matching belt and purse would work too.

A red clutch to add color. It also adds a touch of sophistication and is not too large to be distracting.

A conservative black purse should be fine.
