Well, The Departed and 300. Technically, The Departed came out last year, so the best movie of the year so far for me, is 300.

each story is unique- i haven't really watched any new movies, but i'm going to say i really wanna watch march of the penguins in the english category along with the pursuit of happiness. i'm an indian, and i have some marvellous hindi movies recently- Kabul Express (which did receive a worldwide release) and Guru.. and loads of others. Happy Feet is truly inspiring for those who ain't ordinary but extraordinary and stand apart. and I wanna watch little miss sunshine- seems like a wonderful story and Breslin's got awesome potential. And Titanic- i'll watch it over and over. It's a story of love that will cease to die.

I didnt see it at theatres, but just rented it a week ago or so. Definately the best one i saw so far.. Not a whole lot to compare to, havent been to a movie theatre lately.
