How do u make only 1 thing in color when ur pic is black&white?

If you try to color in the area you want with brush or airbrush then you erase the shades and texure on the photo. Use the magnetic lasso to encircle the part you want to be black and white. Skip the feathering. Now for the enclosed area click on Desaturate [under IMAGE ADJUSTMENTS DESATURATE]. If instead you want only 1 thing to be in color start the same way but after doing the selection click on INVERT to surround the rest of the picture instead..

Well, you have to take the picture in colormode... then desaturate everything in the picture except for the thing you want to be colored. You can't take a black and white picture and then add color, you have to take a color picture and do what I said above. It's kinda difficult if you've never done it before.
