How did the leadership of Moses and the prophets influence Hebrew religious beliefs? How did the Exodus from Egypt and the Babylonian Captivity contribute?

I just can't seem to come up with the word minimum, & need some help.

The Exodus from Egypt is the core concept within the Hebrew historical experience. The passover Holiday is now 3,500 years old and is still the most celebrated Holiday on the Jewish calendar. The yearning for freedom not only impacted the Israelites, but has alsways been the model for any subjugated people. Think of the ***** slave spiritual songs, such as Let my people go, etc.

Moses was the leader of the Exodus but was also the spiritual leader that transmitted the 10 commandments and the rewst of the jewish law. So he was much more than just a general, but a leader in evey way for 40 years. Yet his is called "our teacher MOses" and not "our father" as Abraham, Isaac and Jacob are.

The Babylonian captivity forced teh Jews to learn to adapt their religion to function outside of the "land" in captivity. Ritual practices, such as the public reading of the Torah, started in Babylon. Also the yearning for the return to Zion began by the "waters of babylon"
