Is there a location of the theftlock? If so, where is it located in or on the vehicle? I have a 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix and was wondering what is that light that says "TheftLock" around it.

The above answer is correct, but slightly outdated for your vehicle. Theftlock is a theft-deterrent system for the radio only. In the newer GM vehicles like yours, the radio can identify the VIN through the vehicle's data bus. If you removed the radio and installed it into another GM vehicle, Theftlock would prevent it from working. If you remove it and, later, install it back into the same vehicle, it should work again without a hitch.

Older versions of Theftlock worked as described above; in fact, disconnecting the battery would often cause the radio to be disabled when the battery was reconnected.

Theftlock is a theft deterent system in place on GM cars. If the power is disrupted to the radio, it locks it and you have to enter a code to get the radio to work again, or you have a paperweight. Beware when installing an aftermarket deck.
