1.75 =1+.75
that is 1 and .75
To change .75 to a fraction, move the decimal point two places to the right and write the number over a hundred.
.75=75/100 which is thesame as 3/5 ( by simplifying)

Going back to the first step above, 1.75=1+.75=1 3/4
as a fraction

We have 1 whole number and .75 or 75/100. 25 divides both 75 and 100. 75/25 = 3. 100/25 = 4. So 75/100 = 3/4. Now you have 1 3/4. To change this to an improper fraction, multiply 4 by 1 and add 3. So 1 3/4 = 7/4.

its easy all you do is change it into a mixed number like 1.75 is 1 & 75 Hundredths so it would become 1 75/100 if you put it simplest form so 75/100 can be divided by 25 making it 3/4 & to make it a inproper fraction is yousee that it has to be 4ths so you add four more to the numerater 'cuz 1 whole equals 4/4 so you add that to 3/4 & you get 7/4 which would be your inproper faction
