you felt happy and scared in the same time?

When this very special person in my life said he loved me...and i knew i loved him back too. I dont think i´ve ever felt such an extreme combination of those 2 almost opposite feelings before...

When I was in the hospital in between surgeries. I was in good spirits despite the situation. I think when a person has an accident like I did they first go into a mild shock and then some relief just knowing that you are still alive and well. Then there is the pain and morphine. In my case I hated the morphine because I felt really sick to my stomach. Now I have the dilemma of semi-happiness and pain. It may take a couple of years but I will adapt. Just like I adapted to no pain reliever.

Last night.
I was coming back from a concert (you already know it), I left my friend at her house and I was coming to mine alone. I stopped at a red light and there was an earthquake (a little one but still earthquake).
I've never felt so happy, lonely and scared at the same time.

today, the small neighborhood fitness center with apartments above it was smoking from a light about 10 feet from me smelling like firecrackers, my kids were in another room, people were tanning the girls called 911 and the whole kit-n-caboodle fire department showed up but it was nothing I guess because the the fire trucks were gone and the place was still open an hour later so I was happy about that.

I think I have only been that way once... Well, maybe more as a child.. But the only time I remember was 13 yrs ago when I was Pregnant with my son.

I feel that way everyday when I watch my children . .... Happy that they are so wonderful and scared that they will grow up too fast
