I ordered some golf clubs and saw that they will be arriving in my area around 7:30PM. Now , obviously, they will not deliver them tonight, but could I pick them up at their distribution center? I have tried calling UPS and have been on hold earlier and am on hold now, I figure I might get a faster response using Yahoo Answers.

UPS Ground packages are delivered to residential addresses Monday through Friday between 9:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m., and to business addresses during their normal business hours Monday through Friday. UPS Ground packages cannot be scheduled to arrive at a specific time of day. UPS express shipments have guaranteed delivery times that vary by service. Also, you cannot change the route to pick it up as you are a 'cosignee.' Hope this helps.

Trying to get them to intercept a particular package and re reoute it (change its destination from your home to the UPS pickup counter) will probably delay it more than waiting for it to be delivered later.

Actually I have received UPS deliveries at my Home address up to 9:00 PM at night. They do residential deliveries later hours than business. Stay home and wait.
I live in California and that's how it is here...

Manifest pickup means it's on the drivers list to pick it up. The package you're waiting for hasn't even been sent yet. Sorry.

Probably not until they are opened to public, in other words you can only pick it up during their hours of operation to the public.
