Ray Lewis, even now, and probably in four years from now. He is one of the greatest ever if not the greatest, and Brian Urlacher isn't even hall of famer material yet. Ray Lewis is better in so many different ways. The obvious ones, being that he is bigger, stronger, and faster than Brian. Also he has much more experience than Brian so he can read plays and get to the ball or stay in coverage that much more quickly. He has much better tackling technique than Brian, so he tackles better. The most important difference in them though, is leadership. Brian Urlacher chooses to be the silent team mate, not a leader of his team. Ray Lewis is not only a leader of his team, but he has been shown to be a leader to the entire NFL. Another difference is that Ray is in the AFC, Brian is in the NFC, quality of competetion has a great deal to do with how good you are, and Ray is still that much greater than Brian. The bottem line is that Ray Lewis is atleast twice the football player that Brian Urlacher is, seeing as I can't think of one thing that Brian can do better than Ray, or even come close for that matter.

Right now, I would take Urlacher because he is several years younger.
Sure Urlacher is a great player, but Ray Lewis is just the complete player. He is the team's leader. He brings emotion like no other player. He always plays his hardest and strives to be better. He gets everyone on his team fired up. And he plays as big as he acts. He is strong, fast, and always seems to cause a turnover when the Ravens need one. His hits are hard and punishing. If I were creating the perfect player I would take Lewis's leadership, energy, and determination to get better even when he was already the league's best, because he is the perfect example of all these things

Brian Urlacher is the best right now, but Ray Lewis is right behind him and he's alot older.
