I'm an independent. I'd say that it is much easier to start a war than it is to end one. You can't just throw a switch and make the pain and suffering go away. I wish one could.

uh.... I actually watched the represenatives I voted for...
they clearly said they didn't want impeachment and they would work to end the war in a year or two... which they have been...
and the house has passed everything that they said they would in the 100 hours and the dems don't have a supermajority in the senate, BUT have voted for everything they said they would...
I understand government and the fact that everything doesn't get done in a day... and what a supermajority is...
how is that consitutional ban on gay marriage, banning abortion, dropping welfare, changing SS... all the things that the Republicans ran on for the PAST 20 YEARS... going?
wow... the dems have done more on their promises in 3 months than Republicans have in 20 years...
I would post catty questions about it too if I were you hoping to pass the blame...
and it's pretty clear you're basically a Republican if you have the common sense to know it... but I wouldn't admit it either if I were you

I'm gonna make this short and sweet cause it gets really tiring explaining to you guys how Congress works:
First off, Dems took control, but control isn't quite the right word because there's the slimmest of margins between the 2 parties. So in order for Dems to pass the laws/bills they want to, they'd still have to have Republican support.
Second, Bush will veto any bills passed by Dems. That means the House and Senate would then need 2/3 majority vote to override Bushy and his rubber stamp. And there's just enough Dems to even get close to that number.

Get a life and go somewhere else and impeach yourself.
gremlins,
if you allowed email, I could enlighten you further in private, but you leave me no choice. Many Americans have many unanswered questions about 911 and we deserve answers we haven't received. I have read the entire literary output of Winston Churchill, for example, and - if I had the time - I could tell you of many instances in the U.K. when similar instances have occurred. Blind acceptance of everything governments tell you is not the path that wise people follow: Just ask Germans who lived during the Hitler era if that was a wise course for them to follow.

How dare you gloat when US soldiers are dying because Bush and Cheney and others in the administration are evil and greedy!!
Are you a Halliburton or BP stockholder?
How can you sleep at night knowing US citizens not to mention Iraqi citizens are dying daily so you can gloat that Bush is a tyrant drunk with power who doesn't listen to anyone else but his posse and when his Generals disagree with him he replaces them with ones who kiss his @ss!!??
Hey did you know that Congress has the constitutional power to disband the military!!??
If his majesty wants to keep his sh!t up they should do it!!
Either way the troops will be home by 2008 because he's going to veto this bill and cut the troops funding off and will have to bring them home anyway!
The great decider....yeah....more like the great divider!
Why would you or anyone who is a private citizen support this deluded man and his evil minions??
Iraqis don't want us there!!
They are entitled to run their country any way they want to!!

Personally I'm still waiting for their plan that leave the Iraqis in better shape than when they were under Saddam.
Oh, I forgot they don't care about them or what a civil war might do to their way of life & the world's economy.

Man, I love your statement. Don't like Nazi Peloski either. Talks to dictators but not our own president. What a twit. There has been no impeachment hearing because there is no reason for one to my knowledge. If you know of an impeachable offense, share it with us.
If you want the war to end, as I do, A few electron bombs will do. Remove the troops and drop the nukes.

I don't recall anyone campaigning that they'd end the war or impeach the president in 3 months time.
I was actually surprised that they covered most of their 100 hour agenda.

My oh my, that's a very sound attempt at spinning. I must say I applaud you for your wasted effort. Oh and since you brought MSNBC into this rediculous attempt at an arguement, or is it statement? Here is yet another fine example of exactly how fair and balanced Fox news isn't.

Boy its bad enough to have a poor agenda like undermining our war effort and doing stupid things like raising taxes and minimum wage, its even worse to not be able to get enough votes IN YOUR OWN MAJORITY to do ANYTHING except sit around and investigate their political foes, fabricating fake scandals like the US attorney incident, and go visit state sponsors of terror like Pelosi in Syria.
LAME!
