After he came back from the mountain, he complained of his nose hurting because he hit a rail while snowboarding. Now he snores at night. Could his nose be broken? How can I help him?

nose trauma and a susequent fracture would have hurt, there is no fracture without pain. He may have a component of allergic rhinits (i.e. seasonal allergies) that flared up with a trip to the snowy mountains. This is one of the possible mechanisms for snoring. One snores because of the air passage through the upper airways, it is more likely that he was snoring before his trip and you never noticed, if the snoring is too loud, see a doctor to consider reconstructive surgery for the upper airways, it helps sometimes, not always, good luck
