the fact that you are questioning this shows independent thought, so you must be a Conservative. and Yahoo Answers has been proven to rot the brain, It makes even the most civil and sensible person react viciously to the stupidity of the questions posed on here by idiots from both sides of the political spectrum.

Depends on what you believe in.
Do you want a smaller, less intrusive government that will mind its own business on social issues and act intelligently on economic issues-- oh wait, that USED to be the republican party. It's not anymore.
Well, if you do want those things, stick with being a conservative.
If you'd like the government to spend your tax dollars on social programs instead of Iraq, go ahead and be liberal.
Trust your instincts. I find that's always the best way to go.
Be careful, tho'. If you tag too closely after Obama or John Edwards, you may end up a socialist.

Rule #1 in politics: Don't let anyone else tell you what to think.
People on both sides will try to tell you how to think, it's human nature, based on personality. Learn the issues, pick some that are important to you, and choose the party that represents those issues your way. Why did I say pick the party, and not the person? Because people usually vote with the party.

If you are tired of those sneering "personal responsibility" toward victims of Katrina, and seeing scenes of torture and secret imprisonment originate in the US...then you should join and help tilt American politics back toward the liberals.
The two parties pull this country too far one way, and then the other...so your switching is not unusual. One third of the country stands where you do. But lately...they have rejected this particular strand of conservatism to help turn the country around to normalcy.

try not labeling yourself and believing what you want to believe. thats whats wrong with our country everyone is either conservative or liberal, and theres really no difference between the two. neither major political party has the balls to take much of a stand on any issue and their views are so similar they might as well be called the Democratic-Republican Party.

Trolling must be informative. Why change clubs, just let your ideas evolve, not the labels.
You are you, educated and informed, and proud to tell others.
